Dr Dan Jeyaseelan

Dr Dan is a keen guitarist, aquarist, ex-karate instructor and self-professed ex-gym junky. He starts his days enjoying an early morning play session with his little buddy, Achilles (a Working line-German Shepherd). As they say, the early bird gets the worm.

Dr Dan loves spending time with his family, in particular, his beautiful wife Nicola, who is the clinic’s practice manager. His little (big) boys keep him busy and on his toes, spending quality time together outside of work. His children have been a strong driver in his decision to pursue general practice so he can be an active and involved father.

Whilst working over the last 15 years in the wonderful community of Monbulk, Dr Dan’s passion for life and medicine has grown, resulting in the creation of Dr Dan’s Medical Clinic in 2020. Dr Dan’s love for his patients and the community will continue well into the future with many more years of dedicated service ahead.

He is a Specialist with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and graduated with Honours from Monash University. Dr Dan has been actively involved with Medical Student Teaching, Junior Doctor Training and University Education for almost 25 years.

Some of his achievements are the Monash Prize, the Australian Schools Prize, Runner up in the Prince Henry’s prize for Surgery and the General Practice teaching excellence award. In 2025 Dan had the honour of receiving the Australia Day Citizenship and Community Service Award from Rotary Monbulk – a real proud moment for him.

We look forward to caring for you and your family with passion and pride.
